Welcome to Tender Truth Co.
Education should cultivate strong foundations, nurture connection, and inspire wonder—without overwhelm. Drawing on over a decade of classroom experience and study, our resources are designed to simplify, clarify, and support meaningful learning at home. My hope is to encourage and equip families to experience joy, peace, and intentionality in learning and growing together, anchored in faith, truth, and simplicity.

I'm Sarah.
Wife. Mom. Christ-follower. Passionate about restoring simplicity and celebrating beauty in childhood and family life through intentional, effective, faith-filled learning at home.

My Early Years
I grew up surrounded by trees and corn fields in a small Midwestern town. I’m the youngest of two daughters born to a high school mathematics teacher and lab technician. My feet were often muddy, my clothes often dirty with remnants of our many animals.
I grew up in the rhythm of Sunday church, Sunday school and vacation Bible school, but the God’s presence and purpose did not penetrate our week beyond striving to be a “good” person. In that, I “excelled.”
I have always been extremely enthusiastic about learning even from a young age, picture Hermione. I graduated top ten, scholar athlete, honors choir, and fair queen with a full ride to the university of my choice only to discover that those accolades didn’t really matter.

How we came together
Our Story
My husband and I grew up together. We met when we were eight or nine. We don’t remember the moment, but we have a childhood filled with memories of each other. We both showed goats in 4H. We finally made the jump from friends, to “friends,” and eventually to dating in our senior year of high school.
After our first date, B asked the question “you know you need saved right?” There parked in the highschool parking lot, God began revealing himself to me in a whole new way.
I went off to college months later, with a growing desire to understand who He was and what I believed. While my fellow college students spent time going out, I spent time studying His word, focusing on my studies and getting more serious with B.
We both felt the Lord calling us to get married. We were engaged in my sophomore year and married right before my junior/senior. Married young, we’ve since grown-up together, continuing to learn more about who God is and try to mold our lives to reflect His way.

Our Family
We welcomed our first baby after seven years of marriage. Shortly after her brith, my husband lost the dream job he had worked towards. In the aftermath of Covid, and the grief of a shattered dream, we pivoted and I went back to school studying Childhood Development. While earning my masters, I experienced my most difficult year of teaching and we lost our second baby in a miscarriage.
In the pit of anxiety-later diagnosed OCD-I became pregnant with our son. His birth was a rebirth of dormant dreams and my husband and I started once again pursuing what we felt the Lord calling us to.
A year later Tender Truth Co. was created.
Tender Truth Co.
Tender Truth is an extension of our family. We desire slower living, simplicity, deeper connection, creativity, and learning alongside one another.
We hope to grow our family, Lord willing, and help our kids grow in the knowledge of who God is and who we are in Him—to walk in the presence and purposes of God.
