Fall on the Farm is a 12-week seasonal curriculum designed for families with children ages 4–9, with the flexibility to adapt for younger or older children. Through living stories, Scripture, hymns, artwork, hands-on experiences, crafts, recipes, and play, your family will explore the world of farms while tracing the story of redemption woven throughout Scripture.
This isn't simply a farm unit study.
It's an invitation to cultivate knowledge, curiosity, wonder, and worship together.
The farm is our context, but God is our subject.
Over twelve weeks, you'll explore farm life—animals, crops, harvesting, barns, food, and preparing for winter—while building a growing understanding of the Biblical story.
You'll begin with the first farmers: Adam and Eve, the Fall, and God's promise of a coming Seed. You'll explore farm animals throughout the Old Testament and consider how sacrifice points us toward our need for a Savior. Then, as you move into the New Testament, you'll discover Jesus using agricultural language to reveal who He is through His “I am” statements.
As your children learn about seeds, harvests, sheep, bread, vines, shepherds, and fields, they'll begin to see that these aren't simply interesting facts about farm life.
They're pieces of a bigger story.
A story about creation.
A story about sin and brokenness.
A story about promise and waiting.
A story about a Savior.
A story about redemption.
Our hope is that as your child's knowledge of God's world grows, so does their knowledge of God's Word—and ultimately, their love for the God who made them both.
Many early childhood curricula move from one unrelated topic to another: butterflies one week, apples the next, then dinosaurs, then community helpers.
Children certainly learn facts this way, but they have fewer opportunities to build a connected body of knowledge.
Fall on the Farm is intentionally different.
For twelve weeks, your family stays within one expansive theme and builds knowledge within that context. Farms lead to crops. Crops lead to harvest. Harvest leads to food. Food leads to Scripture. Scripture leads to God's character and His redemptive story.

The curriculum uses living stories—engaging picture books, devotionals, artwork, hymns, and Scripture—to deepen understanding rather than simply deliver information.
Because the themes, Biblical connections, and seasonal rhythms remain meaningful, you can return to the curriculum year after year.
The first time through, your child may notice the animals.
The next year, they may make connections between the animals and a Biblical story.
The following year, they may begin asking deeper theological questions.

Everything is intentionally flexible.
You can follow the five-day rhythm exactly, condense it into fewer days, linger on a favorite story, skip an activity, or follow a rabbit trail your child finds fascinating.
The goal is connection, not completion.
The twelve weeks move through four broad sections:
Seed of the Story: as fall commences, our study begins in a garden with the fall of humanity, and God’s glorious promised seed while introducing life on a farm.
The Law and the Lamb: as fall progresses we turn our focus to farm animals while following God’s Story of salvation through the Old Testament.
The Great I Am and The Harvest: as the harvest comes in, we turn our focus on to farm crops and zoom in on Jesus’ “I Am” statements, God’s chosen rescuer, the promised seed.
The Way Home: as the study closes, fall starts to fade, and animals begin to prepare for the coming winter, we will explore death and discover that Jesus is the way to new life–resurrected life. In Jesus, we are given a way back to God.
The last section culminates in a celebratory feast to pause and reflect on all that we’ve studied and explored, foreshadowing the wedding feast to come.
Fall on the Farm is not a skills building curriculum. It does not explicitly include phonics, handwriting, or math (though these are easily incorporated).
And that's intentional.
We believe foundational skills are important, but they don't all need to live inside one curriculum and maybe shouldn't.
Use the phonics program that works for your child. Practice number sense through your math curriculum. Add handwriting, spelling, or other skills wherever they fit naturally into your family's day.
Fall on the Farm has a different job:
to build knowledge, make connections, cultivate curiosity, and deepen your family's understanding of God and His Word.
Skills give children tools for learning.
Knowledge gives them capacity to think deeply and critically, and articulate their understanding.
We want to help you build both—without asking one curriculum to do everything.
Although Fall on the Farm is designed with preschool and early elementary children in mind, it was created to be experienced together.
Read the stories aloud. Look at the artwork. Sing the hymns together. Ask the questions. Make the recipes. Explore the places.
The beauty of a family curriculum is that everyone can participate at their own level while sharing the same stories, experiences, and conversations.
You aren't creating separate learning environments for every child.
